CIMPA is a European project, funded under H2020 program and completed in November 2024. CIMPA aimed to introduce more circularity into the world of plastics, by multiplying the added value of recycled plastic. To achieve this, CIMPA contributed to the development of innovative technologies aimed, at every stage of the value chain, at enabling the recycling and recovery of multilayer films – today rejected by existing circuits.
At the same time, the challenge for this project was to map out the path to take these innovations from the demonstration stage to market adoption, despite the need for large-scale investment.
Benkei, as a member of the CIMPA consortium, helped all the partners to identify the project’s exploitable results. We then advised the partners on their protection and marketing strategies, assessing the relevance of the proposed business models, the keys to market entry, and the partnerships needed to transfer these technologies to industry.
A market test was then carried out to gather feedback from key stakeholders of the value chain. Analysis of the responses received highlighted the relevance of integrated business models, enabling growth in product value and accelerated return on investment.
Finally, in order to multiply the opportunities for transforming results into industrial success, we organized creativity sessions to enable partners to find applications for their results beyond the CIMPA framework.
« Benkei took part in the CIMPA project on two fronts: (invaluable) assistance with project coordination, and involvement in the result exploitation, from the identification of KERs (Key Exploitation Results) to the various strategies put in place. The team succeeded in integrating the different strategies of each partner to adapt the exploitation plans as closely as possible to each partner’s wishes. Benkei also provided invaluable assistance in studying the value chain and the proposed business models. Their professionalism and good mood added real value to the project. Thank you very much!”
